There is a quote from Lao Tzu regarding having the patience to wait for the mud to settle and the water to clear.  At 72, I've had plenty of opportunity to practice that patience.  Age carries blessings, however.  It becomes easier to find grace amidst the turmoil of the mud and the water runs clear, sparkling with the dappled colors of reflected sunlight.  My sediments settle into the pattern of a life lived.

Original abstract art by artist Wanda Oliver, executed in oil paint and cold wax medium on cradled board, 24x30x1.5", September, 2025.  Wanda's use of lyrical, poetic lines, luminous surfaces, and harmonious color distinguish her work - work that speaks heart to heart.

The surface of the painting is sealed with a layer of buffed cold wax. The sides of the cradled board are waxed, and the board is wired and ready to hang.  The board is designed to accommodate a floating frame, but no frame is necessary.
